Biohm Health, Inc., a leading innovator in microbiome research, ingredients and product solutions is pleased to announce the launch of a new data-driven, targeted microbiome formulation for women, created in partnership with the product development experts at ADM. The formulation, ViviFem™, is a combination of pre-, pro- and postbiotics designed specifically for women’s healthy aging goals.

To design a truly data-driven formula, the product development pros at ADM employed Biohm Technologies’ Symbiont™ platform, the company’s systematic approach to ingredient discovery, selection and formulation with Biohm’s proprietary microbiome dataset at its core.  The result is ViviFem™, a combination of science-backed biotics that addresses the most common microbiome misalignments of women aged 40-65.

Leveraging Biohm’s extensive microbiome dataset and Symbiont™ platform, researchers identified microbiome shifts in aging women compared to a younger cohort. Together with the product development team at ADM, they created a formula of ingredients designed to modulate the microbiome specifically relative to those target organisms identified; this includes the probiotic blend Mycosha™, the innovative prebiotic PreforPro®, and the postbiotic ES1. Seven published human clinical trials and dozens of pre-clinical studies support the individual ingredients that make up the ViviFem™ formula.

Biohm Technologies is harnessing the power of its Symbiont™ data platform to drive innovation in biotic ingredients and formulations.  “Healthy aging and women’s health are two categories that remain ripe for opportunity, and gut microbiome balance plays a tremendous role in these areas. Our microbiome dataset allows us to create truly targeted solutions for specific groups of consumers and their needs – in this case, women over 40,” said Kristin Wilhoyte, VP of B2B marketing at Biohm Technologies.  Sam Schatz, CEO of Biohm, adds, “By combining comprehensive bacterial and fungal biological data with cutting-edge computational biology and AI, we are unlocking new insights into human health. This latest formulation is a testament to this approach and there’s much more to come.”
